October has been greatly full and busy for me with many activities (not much of which involved a pencil, but stimulating nonetheless!)
And as November is here, I recall so too is "National Novel Writing Month" - which is not my ball really, so a couple of years ago I made another to play with!
Simple premise really. All I have to do, is draw a little something daily. A doodle, a piece of art that progresses in stages, a small comic character, a light sketch, a heavy drawing (and yes, painting applies too! We'll call it "drawing with a brush" )
As November has only just started for me, I imagine the majority of you are still finishing up Halloween.
Grab some paper and have a go - you'll have surprised yourself with the things you might find you've drawn by the end of the month!

What I've been up to.
So there's a project called "100 days", which means dedicating the time to do something each day for a hundred days (usually artistic). And I've been illustrating a character of mine called "The VSG" - some images of which, I'll post here. :)
Some of you may recognise it as the little chap from my Weurdle Waucrack drawings - in truth, Weurdle Waucrack is just another branch to what it gets up to in its spare time... ;D Hope you like them.

I blink and...
Next thing I know, several months have snuck by! How can something of such reasonable size be so stealthy?
Recent activities involved partaking in a weekend workshop on digital illustration. I can definitly see the difference it has made between my previous attempt at digital painting, and the new one. Less lumpy for starters!
Next week I look forward to trying my hand at sculpting - lordy knows how I'll fare, but if I deem it a worthy attempt, will post that here too.
Tidying Stuffs!
Alright, the month's challenge is over, so going to shift some of the pieces about and delete the scrappiest :)
I've been good at persisting with the doing something daily, since then, so let's see if I can stick to it, eh? :D
Nearly there!
28 days gone, two more left to go, and then I will have completed my task to do some drawing/painting wotnots, every day this month!
And then I'll go and clean out the Scrapbook section, as it's probably fuller than my Gallery now!
What have I gotten out of the exercise?
Well, if the last time was discovering how much I liked dip-pen and ink, this time was a lot about trying to get to grips with painting "digitally".
And now... SLEEP. It's hideously early in my morning.
